Who should take the WordPress workshop?
This is a great workshop for anyone who is interested in learning how to design websites using WordPress.org.
A few scenarios:
– Small business owners who need a company website
– Graphic designers wanting to add/improve website design skills
– Digital marketing professionals
– Employees who are tasked with creating and maintaining company websites
– Non-profits needing a more affordable website solution

Do I need to know how to code?
The great thing about WordPress is that you do not need to know how to code in order to customize a theme. Having basic HTML and CSS knowledge will be helpful as we’ll be teaching you a few customization tricks, but not necessary. If you consider yourself a tech-savvy person, you’ll do great. If you’re concerned about the course tech requirements, contact us and we’d be happy to discuss!
What technical requirements do I need for the workshop?
A reliable computer, camera, microphone, and internet connection are required for this course. Classes will be taught via Zoom, so make sure to have the latest Zoom app installed before class starts.
*Note: this is a hands-on course and we will be working in WordPress during class. You will need to join Zoom from a desktop computer, not a cell phone.
Do you have a VA program?
We honor the women and men who have served our country, and are offering a limited number of free spots in our course to Vets. Contact us for more information.
Why should I take your WordPress workshop vs. other online self-led courses?
Our workshops are the best way to get started learning WordPress website design as you will be introduced to both the fundamentals and more advanced features of building websites in WordPress & GeneratePress paired with the tools you need + live instruction and support. The workshop is a great value and includes over 999+ in product.
What forms of payment do you take?
We take all major credit cards.
Will I need to purchase any course materials?
All course materials, including the licensed themes, are included in the tuition costs. You will need a reliable desktop computer, video camera, microhone, and internet connection in order to take the course.
What is your cancellation policy?
Attendees may cancel any course as long as We Rock WP Academy receives course cancellation confirmation greater than 7 days prior to that course being scheduled. The attendee will receive a full refund of that course less a $100.00 processing fee.
Attendees may cancel any course 3 to 7 days prior to that course being scheduled, and the attendee will receive a 50% refund of that course.
Attendees canceling any course less than 3 days prior to that course being offered will be required to pay for the entire course tuition.
What is the class format, and what programs and apps will we be using?
The workshop is an online course via Zoom. We will also be chatting with students via our messaging app. You will be building your class website in the Chrome browser in WordPress.org using the Generate Press theme.
We will provide graphics and photographs for you to use—however, if you would like to create your own graphics, you may want to have memberships to Canva and/or Photoshop.
Do I need website hosting?
We will initially host your class website for up to three months. After this time period, you can transfer your website to your own hosting provider should you choose to keep it.
Can I add this workshop experience to my resume?
Absolutely.
We are experienced digital marketing professionals and teachers (read more about us here), and when you take our workshops and subsequently complete the class website, we will provide a certificate of completion that also serves as a recommendation.
I’ve registered for an upcoming workshop. What should I do next to prepare for class?
Once your registration has been accepted and you have paid in full, you will be granted access to our student portal where you can see upcoming class dates and times, course materials, and information about joining our messaging app.
Can I use the website I build in class for my own business/personal use?
Absolutely!
You will be given a licensed theme to practice building on, and if you would like to keep it, you can transfer it to your preferred hosting provider (or we can help you set up hosting!)
We will provide graphics and photographs for the class website design—however, we encourage you to customize your website with your own logo, graphics, photographs, and colors.
